WMOC 2011 Day 5 Long Final

Big time sink holes today and 38 degrees!!  Those that ran slowest in the qualification races were smartest as they had the earliest start times.

Philip Eeles finished 33rd in M55 A Final in 65.53 against a winning time of 47.18.  Gavin Clegg of Wessex was one of the best Brits in all classes finishing 7th in 56.49.

Tim Sands was suffering from a badly bruised toe after an argument with a rock in the first qualifucation race. That and the heat took it toll and he finished 53rd in 65.21 in M60 with the winner taking 46.56.

Both Philip and Tim are off to try their luck at the Austrian 6 Day starting on Sunday.

Philip Cooper had ambitions of starring in the M60 C Final.  These ended with a big over run at control 4.  With a start time of 12.29 the heat was horrendous and just running on the flat was a struggle.  He finished 52nd in 77.07 against a winner of 55.04.

Tim Tett didn't manage to emulate his silver in the Sprint finishing 12th in M50 in 56.45 with the winner doing 48.38.
