Many thanks to Colin Holcombe for planning and organising this event along with his small band of helpers.
Another healthy turnout (I don't think many clubs will be averageing around 70 enrtries for Saturday morning summer events), another batch of new faces and another great sunny morning!
I thought Colins' "2s and 3s'' score format worked well to give a serious orienteering challenge in a small area.
The results and adjusted results with Summer Series points are attached below;
See you all at the next Summer Series event!

Planner/Organiser's Comments
This was my first attempt at planning a SOC event and it was a bit daunting as a new(ish) member to the club in making sure I could provide an event up to the highly successful standard of previous Summer series events. I was aware of the tried and tested format so I thought perhaps it wasn't the right time to serve up one of my Army type of training events.
The Yellow and Orange are always a challenge but RVCP was the ideal location as it ticked all the criteria boxes for for both these courses. The "more experienced orienteers" course provided a separate challenge as the park is quite small. Hopefully the 2's & 3's (or odds & evens for 2 club members) worked out fine. A big thank you to Kevin Bracher and Robin Smith with placing controls and words of wisdom, Lisa James for pre event info and collecting the equipment and running the registration along with Jean Velecky and Olwen Rowlands. Thanks also to everyone who came along to support the event
